Energesis, a company that designs, installs and manages domestic geothermal heating and air-conditioning systems, will be responsible for installing a geothermal system in a block of 15 bioclimatic apartments located in Denia (Alicante).
Several leading geothermal companies and the Andalusian Energy Agency have met to discuss the development of this clean energy source in Andalusia. According to the report presented during the meeting, the Andalusian regional government’s Andalucia A + grant programme enabled 26 geothermal projects to be developed in the region between 2005 and 2011.
The Valencia-based company, Energía Geotérmica, has launched two research projects which seek to harness energy from the earth to heat greenhouses and reuse waste heat from solar thermal electric plants. Both projects are funded by the Institute for Small- and Medium-sized Industry (Instituto de la Pequeña y Mediana Industria) of the Valencian Regional Government.
